The education system is failing American students

In my following posts, I will be discussing the education system. While these issues within the education impact all students it disproportionately impacts minorities and those from low-income households. These issues are 1. The achievement gap. 2. The prevalence of student poverty 3. Student Mental health 4. The heavy emphasis on standardization. This will hopefully clarify some issues that many seem to have forgotten or pushed aside.
